A lot of people say Macau is like the Vegas of Asia. In some way it is. There's lots of gambling going on, and you can see a lot of the famous hotels like Wynn, MGM, Hard Rock, Venetian, Four Seasons, Hyatt, and Sheraton. But on the other hand, the crowd is extremely local, mainly of people from Mainland China. So the hotels also cater towards that market. The restaurants are more Chinese, and theater shows, bars, pool parties, and clubs aren't a big thing at all. So you can't go to Macau expecting to see Cirque Du Solei, famous DJs or a bunch of people dancing around in bikinis. The other sites such as the ruins of St. Paul, Senado Square, and Fisherman's Wharf were quite unique and pretty! Makes you feel like you're in Europe.
